The Wichita Chamber Chorale will hold vocal auditions for the 2013 and 2014 seasons August 16-17, 2013 at Wichita Collegiate Upper School.

The Chorale is regarded as the premier choral ensemble in the region and has been performing exceptional choral music for 35 years for local audiences as well as in national and international venues. Members of the Chorale must audition every two years, according to Dr. Mark Bartel, Artistic Director and Conductor.

“We welcome all interested singers to audition for a position in the Chorale. Singers with vocal skill, strong musicianship and a passion for choral music are what make the choir a success.” Bartel said.

The Chorale is a mixed ensemble of approximately 32 singers. They meet on Monday evenings for rehearsal between September and June, with additional rehearsals required during performance weeks. The Chorale has scheduled concerts in Wichita December 14-15, 2013 and April 12-13, 2014, and will also be performing on Dec 5th as part of the Hesston-Bethel Performing Arts Series.
